Lignite provides high quality output

The Williston Herald recently published a story about the added benefits North Dakota’s lignite supply offers to the state and the region.
…’there is new evidence it may have some of the highest concentrations of rare earth elements in the nation, according to a 104-page study out this week from the North Dakota Geological Survey.’

These findings are similar to information provided recently by the EERC at UND among others. As researchers continue to study the geological formations in North Dakota, there’s a bright future for added benefits other than low cost reliable electricity from lignite. Check back for updates.
