Reflections from Election Day
Posted November 5, 2014
Last night, voters sent a clear message to Washington by electing candidates that support an all-of-the-above energy policy.
Whether it’s Mitch McConnell who is a champion for the coal industry, Cory Gardner who has been a leader on renewable energy, or Joni Ernst who backs the construction of the KeystoneXL Pipeline, American voters are committed to continuing a policy that protects hardworking families and business leaders from excessive regulation and higher energy costs.
The Coalition for a Secure Energy Future will continue to support the idea that an all-of-the-above energy policy utilizing a healthy balance of fossil fuels and renewable energy sources, which protects the economy and provides affordable electricity, should be a top priority for our nation’s policymakers.
Furthermore, coal is a vital part of the equation because it provides low-cost and reliable power, thousands of jobs and its production generates a tremendous amount of economic activity for our families and communities – both in North Dakota and Minnesota.
Please help share our message of an all-of-the-above energy policy by contacting your legislators today.
